What I Did Last Summer

Summer has pretty much come and gone and Fall is creeping in like an estranged uncle on Thanksgiving. There's never enough time to pack everything we wanted to do in but nonetheless it was a fun Summer. We get a big FAIL for not getting Nia in a pool yet. Both Mom and I are Pisces and theres just no excuse. Nia is of course growing in leaps and bounds every day. She's growing out of her 12 month clothes (took long enough) and getting into her 18 month clothes. Her hair, which I call Medusa, is getting longer and curlier by the day, and there's just not much you can do at this age for it so we're just standing by and watching. Nia's exerting her independence and the tantrums have arrived sooner then anticipated. She is the queen of the floor throw-down, although she generally makes sure to do it gently and not let her head hit so we've gathered this is a power play and we pretty much ignore her and she gives up.

Nia is perfecting the art of feeding herself. She is doing great with a spoon and fork and depending on her mood will or won't let you feed her anymore.
