Nothing sucks more as a parent then when your kids are sick. Nia had a persistent cough for a week or so and wasn't really feeling herself, but at 11:45 Thursday night, Nia had a fever of 103 and was shaking so we took her to the emergency room at Childrens Hospital. Of course when we got there she was running around and seemed fine. But they did tests and she basically has a virus and it just needs to pass through her system.
Nia was a great patient through the 5+ hours we were there, of course didn't want to sleep at all. She totally had a crush on the doctor that was checking up on her. She held his hand and looked up at him with the little head tilt going "Hi!"
Needless to say at 6am when we got home we all crashed... She's doing much better now, but she gave her sickies to me.
